First fix electrics…
Despite the weather, a nice break in France over Christmas has allowed us to install some of the electrics for the pool. Specifically the cables for all the LED lighting around the pool.

Back out for a week and great to be able to see the progress on the pool house in person. The two workshops have both been demolished and major structural work complete. Some tiding up of the walls and then rendering off all external walls will finish it off. Then…
New rendering of final design
A few spare minutes on my hands, so decided to update the render of the finished look, now that the plans have evolved and colours being picked etc. The sail-shades can now we seen in place, as well as the technical room on the left. Render of latest design taken…
New pool house opening…
A quick update from the builder in France, showing the new opening for the pool house. Clearly the original opening of the garage will be blocked in and a new concrete slab laid, once the ground has been dug out.

The biggest concrete pour of the build, with 14 cubic metres being poured using the long reach pump truck (28m arm). My daughter is tamping the concrete with the 2m metal bar to help bring the ‘cream’ to the top and sink any aggregate, leaving a nice smooth finish. The…
