A couple of weeks over Easter back out in France and a chance to check on the progress of the pool house. The following photos show the progress made during our time in France, with the stone quoins and lintel being installed and then a white monocouche (render) being put on to finish the look. Although it looks a little beige in the photos, it should cure a nice crisp white colour.
We also got the chance to install the sliding doors on the final day, which look amazing. Albeit we’ve now been told that one of them is cracked! Quite an easy, albeit heavy, job to install the frame and panels. All taking really good shape now and the final wall (back one) has been finished since we returned to the UK.
Next jobs on the pool house are the concrete terraces either side, on which one side will be the oak framed outdoor kitchen / seating area. The roof will need to be renovated, as there are some leaks in it, after which the interior can be lined and fitted out.
