Pool walls finished…

Today saw the successful pour of the shuttered pool walls, to make them all perfectly level and to the finished height. You can also see the slab for the technical room in the background, as well as some footings in the foreground which will connect the feature wall to the terrace work.

We only had one slight issue, when the formwork for one of the steps got pushed out under the pressure from the concrete being pumped. However, it only moved about 20mm, so all good.

The shuttering has now been removed to show the finished product. The pool steps can also be seen in the photo below.

The following photo shows the deep end wall is 100mm lower than the rest of the pool walls. This is where the roller shutter will appear through, once the feature wall (suspended beam) is build across the top of it. You can also see the slab for the technical room in the background.
