Pool walls up to finished height…

The final two courses of blocks have now been installed, along with the return jets into the beach area. You can now really get the sense of the final size of the pool.

The slops has also started to take shape, as per the photo below, with the blocks to be buried being installed – another 6 tonnes that will never see the light of day again!

In the following photo you can see the cut outs for the skimmers, with the rebar being bent down and underneath the skimmers.

The following photo shows the skimmers in place. They are placed a little higher than the pool wall blocks, which will be shuttered when doing the final pour to ensure perfect level height of the pool all around.

That’s all the work for this trip, next time out in France will be the final pour of the pool walls and work on the terrace slab and feature wall.
