I am now back out in France again for a few weeks, with the aim to get the walls up to 1.6m in height. This will not be the finished height, but I need to pause at this level to pour the cement into the blocks and also create the ‘beach’ end of the pool, which is another 2.5m in length, but only 40cm height, so will have separate foundations.
First inspection of the pool areas after being away for a few weeks is pretty good. There have been one or two small ‘land-slides’ from the walls, but nothing too bad. Again, I am very thankful for having solid bedrock, as this has held up well, especially compared with what any clay or sandy soils may have been like.
