The second layer of reinforced steel mesh has now been laid. It is at this point that we realise why the full size ST25C would have been useful. We have to place two sheets per width, which means that in some places we have four sheets overlapping, causing potential high spots.
We have also placed the two bottom drains in place and ended up needing to cut the mesh, as the pipes foul the desired height of the mesh sheet. We will tie the sheets back together with 8mm rebar that we have, once the drains have been pressure tested and set in concrete.
