Although I am not in France at the moment, I managed to arrange for 26.5 tonnes of gravel (11/22) to be delivered for the back filling of the pool, now that the concrete walls have cured sufficiently.
The earthworks contractor has been at the pool todays with the digger and dumper truck and completed the backfilling to the required level – much easier than doing the backfill with wheelbarrows and shovels…
This should now settle and provide a perfect base for the two higher level slabs at either end, which will be the next job when I am back out next time.
What appear to be piles of gravel on the right hand side of the pool is deliberate. It is so that I have access to finish plumbing in the LED projectors.
